ZenPet is a brand specializing in natural, CBD-based supplements designed to support pet health and wellness. Their flagship product is a premium cbd oil formulated specifically for pets, offering a natural source of essential nutrients and promoting overall vitality for furry companions.
I was responsible for developing and designing the complete brand identity, including the creation of a logo, packaging design for a product line, and a website.
Logo design
The ZenPet logo is clean, approachable, and effectively communicates the brand’s identity as a pet-focused wellness company. When creating this logo, I focused on:
Symbolism: The logo features a paw print icon above the brand name. This is a classic and instantly recognizable symbol for pet products, which makes the logo immediately relevant and easily memorable for the audience. Within the paw print, a hemp leaf subtly references the CBD component, connecting the design to the brand's focus on natural, hemp-based wellness products for pets.
Font Choice: The brand name "ZenPet" is set in a clean, modern sans-serif font, which enhances readability and gives the brand a fresh, trustworthy image. The font choice also complements the minimalistic design style, reflecting a focus on natural simplicity.
Color Scheme: The logo maintains the earthy, natural color palette, consistent with the packaging design. This choice reinforces the brand’s emphasis on natural ingredients and a calm, wellness-focused vibe.
Packaging design
The design of this packaging combines a dark, earthy color palette with subtle gradients, primarily using deep greens and blues. I chose those colors, not only because they reflect the brand’s natural focus but also convey a sense of calm and reliability—qualities often associated with wellness and CBD products. The use of a gradient background that shifts between deeper greens and blues reinforces the product's natural feel and ties back to the organic, calming qualities associated with CBD.
This line consists of three products, each with a different oil strength.To distinguish them, I incorporated unique color accents on the main packaging for each variant. This color-coding is a practical and visually appealing approach, allowing customers to quickly identify the appropriate product for their needs.
The label features an illustration of a dog and a cat, making it clear that this product is intended for both pets. The friendly, slightly cartoonish style of the illustrations makes the design approachable and pet-focused, appealing to pet owners looking for a reliable supplement. This visual representation also builds an emotional connection, as pet owners can easily envision the product benefiting their own pets.
The product name, "Olej CBD Dla Zwierząt" (CBD Oil for Animals), is displayed prominently in a soft, rounded font that is easy to read and approachable, contributing to the overall friendly aesthetic.
Important product details, including the CBD concentration, "Full Spectrum," and "100% Natural," are highlighted in different sections of the label and box, ensuring customers can quickly access essential information.
Additional icons indicating "THC-free" and "100% Organic" are also clearly visible, reinforcing the product’s quality and safety, which are crucial for pet owners.
Web design
When designing the ZenPet website, my primary goal was to build a responsive website with user-friendly experience that’s as calming and reassuring as the products themselves. I wanted to create a space where pet owners could feel confident exploring natural health solutions for their pets while enjoying a smooth and intuitive user experience.
Color Scheme and Typography
I chose a deep green as the background color because of its calming, natural feel—it’s meant to evoke wellness and relaxation, which aligns perfectly with ZenPet’s CBD products. To create a seamless user experience (UX), I added bright yellow accents for call-to-action buttons and highlighted areas. This contrast not only makes important actions like “Buy Now” or “Learn More” stand out, but also enhances the UX by guiding users intuitively through the site without needing excessive text or instructions.
For typography, I opted for a clean, modern sans-serif font that’s easy to read on any device. The bold, clear headings communicate ZenPet’s message instantly, and the font’s readability supports accessibility—a key factor in good UX design.
Layout and Structure
To make the user journey intuitive, I organized the site layout to follow a logical flow. The hero section at the top introduces ZenPet’s core message with a compelling headline and a clear product visual. This section is designed to create an immediate connection, helping users understand the brand’s mission from the first glance.
In the “Bestsellery” (Bestsellers) section, I used a consistent card layout to present each product clearly. Each card includes essential details—product name, price, description, and an “Add to Cart” button—so users can quickly scan through options. This straightforward structure enhances UX by letting users browse products effortlessly and make purchasing decisions without unnecessary friction.
Social Proof for Trust and UX
The “Opinie” (Reviews) section builds credibility and supports good UX by giving users the social proof they need to feel confident about ZenPet’s products. By showcasing real customer testimonials with avatars and names, I’ve created a relatable, trustworthy space that reassures users about their choices.
About Us Section
In the “O nas” (About Us) section, I wanted to share ZenPet’s story in a warm, inviting way. ZenPet is all about transparency and care for animals, so I focused on making this section feel authentic and trustworthy. By adding a natural background image, I reinforced the brand’s connection to nature, which contributes to an overall sense of reliability—an essential part of a positive UX for a brand in the wellness space.
FAQ Section
I designed the FAQ section with user convenience in mind. Using a collapsible format keeps the page clean and organized, allowing users to find answers quickly without scrolling through lengthy text blocks. This design choice improves UX by keeping the interface uncluttered and enabling users to access information as they need it.
Clear Navigation and Calls-to-Action
To support a good UX, I placed high-contrast buttons with clear labels like “Kup teraz” (Buy Now) and “Dowiedz się więcej” (Learn More) throughout the site. These buttons are designed to be immediately noticeable and actionable, guiding users seamlessly through the site. I also added a fixed navigation bar at the top, ensuring that users can quickly access important sections like Products, FAQ, and Contact without getting lost or frustrated.
Footer Design for Easy Access
In the footer, I grouped essential links (About Us, Products, Contact, etc.) into distinct columns, enhancing UX by making it easy for users to find what they need. I also included social media icons, encouraging users to engage with ZenPet beyond the website, which builds community and loyalty.
High-Quality Imagery and Icons
For the visuals, I made sure the product images are sharp and professionally presented. In e-commerce, clear imagery is essential for a good user experience, as it helps customers feel more assured about their purchases. I also used simple icons, like a paw in the logo and a cart in the navigation, to enhance the pet-centric theme without overwhelming the user.
Accessibility and Responsiveness
In designing this site, I focused on accessibility and adaptability to ensure an inclusive UX. Text and button sizes are optimized for readability and easy interaction on mobile devices, while the high-contrast colors help those with visual impairments. The responsive design ensures that the experience remains smooth and enjoyable, whether users are on a desktop, tablet, or phone.
